New Moon In Sagittarius : Are You Ready To Come Face To Face with You?

All illustrations by Kylie Knudson

There is always work to do BB. We will however get a breath of hope. That feeling of hope is something we need to lean into, embrace, and not deny ourselves of.

Sagittarius is a Fire Sign - they are natural leaders and truth-tellers. People think they might be air headed and naive, but usually, they are very smart below the surface. The sign is mutable; meaning it likes flexibility and balance. Both are qualities that we need to remind ourselves of and call in at this time. The symbol that represents Sagittarius is the centaur - half horse, half archer. We can feel like we are one foot, in reality, one foot in a dream-like state, embrace it. The old structures are crumbling down which can be uncomfortable and sometimes we need to retreat into our fantasy lands and dreams. For many, this is where we find inspiration and can explore our inner dialogue, work our ideas, and conjure up new plans that we can bring back to "reality". This allows us to improve, inspire, and connect with society.

Once this new moon hits you're going to want to adventure - reign that energy and use it. It's not going to last long. So make a list of all the projects you want to start, finish, or need to revisit...those things on the to-do list that seem like tedious tasks and not fun, this is the time to knock them off… and quick. The heavy energy, melancholy, overall stuck feeling, and “all up in your head” mood that's been plaguing us for the last two weeks, is lifting. Hope is in the air. Breathe it in and get high on that for a while. You are looking forward, you are dreaming what the future might be like even though all is not stable in society. You can start to evaluate what you need in order to prepare for the other side of it. You have come this far - don't give up, remember flexibility is key.

After almost a year spent “stuck” and “uncertain” - where can you allow yourself to feel hope?

We are coming face to face with both the light and shadow aspects of ourselves - it's time to come back to ourselves and come back to the "base" and where it all started. What is your individual? What is your place in the collective? Do they overlap? Do they complement one another? If not how do we bring them into balance?

We are coming back to a place where placing people and ideas into “boxes” is not going to work anymore. Race, Religion, Gender, Labels, Categories, and Identifiers - limit us and hold us back from who we really are. Our individuality, capabilities, and talents are as vast as the universe...it’s time to remember and honor that.

Task:

  • Laugh; watch a movie that makes you cry laughing. Take in your favorite comedian’s latest special or the one you know all the punchlines to already.

  • After almost a year spent “stuck” and “uncertain” - where can you allow yourself to feel hope?

  • Mantra:

    • “I will live in my truth, by first being truthful to myself.”

    • “Hope can be something I can see, feel, or fully know. I embody hope and know something greater is just around the corner for me.”

  • Journal:

    • Who is the friend you can count on for the truth? Be that friend to yourself.

    • Fantasy land is a nice place to vacation but unfortunately, we can't set up home there - where are you living your truth? Where are you not?

    • What do you want to learn over the next coming months??
